COVID-19 has proven to infect people indiscriminately. And yet, it has affected certain populations in Clark County more than others.
At first, it was the elderly. Then, African-Americans were hit hard.
Now, Latinos and Hispanics make up the highest rate of infections in Southern Nevada -- at a rate of twice that compared to non-Hispanic whites.

It’s being led by the County, but it’s getting a lot of help from other government and community leaders.
One such government leader helping spearhead the effort is Las Vegas Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, whose Ward 3 is home to many Latino and Hispanic residents.

If you can spend another couple of minutes making a pledge of as little as $5, you’ll feel like a superhero defending democracy for less than the cost of a month of Netflix.
