Las Vegas Man With Knife Takes His Child, Gets In Car Crash

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say they're investigating an incident that involved a man with a knife that ended in a car crash.

Officers were called early Sunday after a man at a party with friends and family reportedly became distraught, took his infant child and began cutting himself.

Las Vegas Metro police say the man got into his vehicle with his child.

While officers were headed to the scene, they came across the crash.

Police said it appears the man who was distraught at the party ran a stoplight and collided with a sedan.

The man and his child were taken to the hospital with injuries considered not to be life-threatening.

Their names haven't been released.

Police say one of the four people in the sedan suffered critical injuries.
