16-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Killing Las Vegas Security Guard

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a 16-year-old boy is suspected in the shooting death of a security guard.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the teen was booked Saturday on suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon as well as other charges.

Police say 75-year-old Hursey Dale Addison was patrolling an apartment complex April 22 in southeast Las Vegas when he was shot in the head.

Arriving officers found him bleeding an unconscious in the parking lot. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators have not said what led them to arrest the teen.

The boy's charges could have an enhancement and bring a longer sentence upon conviction because of Addison's age.
