Steve Wynn Files Defamation Suit Against Former Salon Director

Steve Wynn is suing a former Wynn Las Vegas salon director for defamation.

Wynn filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court against Jorgen Nielsen, who was one of two people to go on record in a Wall Street Journal article accusing Wynn of sexual misconduct spanning multiple decades.

Nielson worked at several of Wynn’s resorts including the Bellagio, Encore and Wynn Las Vegas before leaving in 2013.

The lawsuit describes Nielsen as a “disgruntled former employee.”

The article about Wynn drew national attention and forced him to resign as chairman and CEO of Wynn resorts and to sell his $2.1 billion stock in the company.

At least three former female employees have filed lawsuits against Wynn.
