Dept. Of Corrections Announces Types Of Drugs To Be Used In Execution

The Nevada Department of Corrections has released the names of the drugs slated to be used in a Las Vegas death row inmate’s execution. 

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports 45-year-old convicted murderer Scott Raymond Dozier, who’s been in prison for more than 10 years, was granted his request to be put to death. 

By Nevada law, the execution must be carried out using lethal injection.Corrections Department head James Dzurenda consulted with the state medical examiner to choose diazepam, fentanyl, and cisatracurium to carry out Dozier's death sentence.
