In Nevada, bestiality is not currently illegal, but a new bill in the legislature this session could change that.
Assembly Bill 391 was heard in the Committee on Natural Resources, Agriculture and Mining Thursday and would codify bestiality a gross misdemeanor, according to a story in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It would become a class C felony if the animal in question is seriously injured or killed, or the perpetrator has previous animal cruelty convictions on record.
