Nevada Sportsbooks Suffer Losses

NFL Playoff games this weekend caused an upheaval at Las Vegas sportsbooks.

ESPN reportsWilliam Hill, which operates sportsbooks at 108 locations throughout the state, reported suffering the worst day in the company’s five-year history in Nevada.

On Sunday, bettors backed underdogs Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers bested the Cowboys 34-31, while the Steelers came out on top of the Kansas City Chiefs 18-16.

Nevada Sportsbooks won a combined $63.64 million on both NFL and college in September, October and November, down 12 percent from the same three months in 2014, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
