LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Cosmopolitan says it's joining a growing number of Las Vegas hotels and casinos by ending free parking.
The company said Friday that it will be begin charging for parking in early 2017, a change that comes after 10 hotel-casinos on the Las Vegas strip announced in late November they will phase out their free parking and valet services.
Cost for self-parking will be between $7 and $10, depending how long the car is parked. Time periods range from one hour to 24 hours. Special events may bring higher rates.
The property says guests who book before Jan. 2 will not be charged for parking their own cars, though valets will charge posted rates.
