Forecast Of Cold Winds Prompts Las Vegas-Area Dust Advisory

LAS VEGAS (AP) — With cold, dry winds forecast to blow into the Las Vegas area, county officials are issuing a dust advisory for people with respiratory ailments.

The National Weather Service says winds will pick up through Saturday, with gusts from the north on Friday topping 30 mph.

The Clark County Department of Air Quality says construction sites should take steps to limit blowing dust.

Officials say sensitive people including children with asthma or bronchitis, the elderly, and people with lung or heart disease may want to stay indoors.
