A public library has opened up in Hildale, Utah, one of the twin homes of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints religious sect.
It comes five years after a library was ransacked in neighboring Colorado City, Ariz. and 13 years after a private library in the town was shut down by the FLDS.
The St. George Spectrum reports the library opened up on Friday and is part of the Washington County Library System.
It's the southernmost library in Utah, and officials hope it will provide a link to information and news to residents of the FLDS-affiliated communities.
Washington County library officials also struck a deal with those in Mohave County, Ariz. in order to allow Colorado City residents, and those from other nearby towns in Arizona, to use the new facility.
