Police say a hiker has been rescued after becoming trapped in a canyon about 40 miles south of Las Vegas.
The Review-Journal reports that Las Vegas police say they received reports Sunday afternoon that a man was trapped inside Keyhole Canyon. The search and rescue unit responded and found him caught in ropes.
Police say the man was taken to University Medical Center at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. His condition is not known.
Keyhole Canyon is about halfway between Boulder City and Searchlight in southern Clark County.
