Nevada Early Voting Begins Saturday

Nevadans don't have to wait until Nov. 8 to cast their ballot because two weeks of early voting begins Saturday.

Construction union members are going door-to-door in Henderson on Saturday to drive turnout, while the Culinary Union is directing hotel workers to a polling place on the Las Vegas Strip.

Famous faces helping out include singer Katy Perry, who will visit UNLV and take a first-time voter to the polls, and Sen. Ted Cruz, who's rallying northern Nevada voters with Senate candidate Rep. Joe Heck.

President Barack Obama holds a pro-early voting rally Sunday.

Sixty-one percent of Nevada ballots cast in the 2012 general election came from in-person early voting, which lets voters choose from numerous polling places rather than just one site in their neighborhood.
