HAWTHORNE, Nev. (AP) — No damage or injuries are reported after a pair of earthquakes west of Walker Lake in northern Nevada.

A Mineral County sheriff's dispatcher says people in Hawthorne reported feeling the magnitude 4.3 temblor about 4:15 p.m. Thursday and another 4.5 quake about 11:40 p.m.

The University of Nevada, Reno Seismological Laboratory says both quakes were a little less than 13 miles northwest of Hawthorne.
