A judge will keep in jail a Utah militia group leader with ties to Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy who's accused of trying to blow up a federally owned cabin in Arizona.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Dustin Pead decided Thursday that 57-year-old William Keebler could be dangerous if released ahead of trial on one count of attempting to damage federal property.
The FBI says he also scouted an unidentified mosque and a Bureau of Land Management Office in Salt Lake City before using placing the device from an undercover FBI agent on the cabin door.
His lawyers say FBI agents built the device, placed it against the door and handed him the trigger.
Prosecutors say Keebler was willing to shoot people if anyone came after them when he detonated the device.
