Ruling: Judge Stays On Las Vegas Case Involving Adelson, Sands

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The company owned by billionaire casino magnate and Las Vegas newspaper owner Sheldon Adelson lost a bid to oust the Nevada judge handling a years-long legal fight by a former Macau casino executive who claims wrongful termination.

A ruling Wednesday by Chief Clark County District Court Judge David Barker leaves Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez on the case filed in 2010 by former Sands China chief executive Steven Jacobs.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. says it'll appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court.

The decision could draw comment in court Thursday, when Gonzalez meets with lawyers for Adelson, Las Vegas Sands, Sands China and Jacobs.

Barker said he found no evidence to prove Gonzalez is biased or prejudiced against Adelson's companies.

Jacobs' lawsuit seeks millions of dollars in damages.

Adelson says Jacobs deserves nothing.
