Man Famous For MIT Blackjack Exploits To Address Casinos

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man who wouldn't be welcome to play blackjack in any Las Vegas casino will be the keynote speaker at the gambling industry's annual Global Gaming Expo.

Organizers of G2E announced Friday that Jeffrey Ma who led a team of card counting MIT students to beat the casinos, inspiring the book "Bringing Down the House," would be speaking Sept. 29 at The Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Ma has since become an expert in business analytics and data and he is expected to relate both to blackjack during his conference speech.

Ma's talk follows a morning address from American Gaming Association CEO Geoff Freeman.

Organizers also say Rahul Sood, CEO of Unikrn which allows gamblers to bet on video game tournaments or eSports, will speak Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.
