Nevada Primaries Ahead

The state's primaries are nearing and still many Nevadans are not showing interest. Republicans Niger Innis and Assemblyman Cresent Hardy are fighting it out for the chance to challenge incumbent Democratic Congressman Steven Horsford. Currently incumbent U.S. Representatives Dina Titus and Mark Amodei hold strong registration leads and look to keep their seats. It remains unclear if Democrats can unseat three-term Representative Joe Heck.

State officials say turnout for midterm elections, especially primaries, tend to be low, no more than 15 to 20 percent. Registered voters can cast early ballots until June 6. The primaries are June 10.
