Col. David Sutherland served in two wars, commanded troops in Iraq during the surge, and served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff before he retired a few years ago. His latest battle is on the home front, where he has devoted himself to helping veterans return to their families and communities. He is currently the executive director of the Center for Military and Veteran Community Services (Dixon Center). He will join us to talk about a new partnership with the Easter Seals and to discuss how communities can better serve the needs of returning servicemen.
