Budget Passed

A compromise tax package was passed by a two-thirds majority of both the Assembly and Senate on Monday evening. Tuesday afternoon Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn signed into law an $836-million tax bill, officially ending the stalemate in Carson City over how to fund the budget. KNPR's Ky Plaskon spoke with the governor about the events that led up to the signing of the tax plan and the implications for the future.
