Budget Passed

A compromise tax package was passed by a two-thirds majority of both the Assembly and Senate on Monday evening. Tuesday afternoon Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn signed into law an $836-million tax bill, officially ending the stalemate in Carson City over how to fund the budget.
