Henderson Residents Express Concerns About Minor League Hockey Plans

About a dozen Henderson residents weighed in on concerns they have for a proposed hockey arena where a Vegas Golden Knights minor league affiliate team would play.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports at a Henderson City Council meeting, members of the community expressed disappointment in the planning process’s lack of transparency and worries about development changing the neighborhood around Henderson Pavilion.

The Golden Knights announced their plans for a minor league expansion at the annual State of the City address. Mayor Debra March says the city would foot half the bill to build the arena.
