About a third of legal prostitutes registered in Lyon County in 2017 had indicators of possible human trafficking on their applications that should have prompted additional review, according to an audit by the county's sheriff's department.
The Nevada Independent reports the red flags were found in reports by Sheriff Al McNeil’s office.
McNeil presented the findings at Thursday's Lyon County Commission meeting.
