Blue Cut Fire 85 Percent Contained

The Blue Cut fire in California has destroyed more than 100 homes and hundreds of other building and vehicles.

NPR member station KPCC reports crews are still making progress fighting the flames.

According to San Bernardino County’s website, the fire is currently 85% contained, covering just over 37-thousand acres.

Officials lifted all mandatory evacuation orders yesterday.  People returning to the area are required to show proof of residency.
