Unions March On Trump's Las Vegas Hotel

Members of two large unions marched the Las Vegas Strip in triple-digit heat as part of an ongoing labor dispute at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's hotel.

Organizers planned for about 2,000 attendees at the rally on Wednesday afternoon, including workers with the Culinary Union and members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees who were in town for a major convention.

Numerous attendees sought help from nurses and paramedics due to temperatures that reached to 107 degrees, and the event was sped up to get union members back to buses and out of the heat.

A majority of workers at Trump's hotel voted for union representation and the National Labor Relations Board recently certified the election, but Trump is seeking a review of the decision.

Meanwhile, the Culinary Union announced today it had reached a settlement with the hotel and two workers who were set to go on trial over a suit alleging they were discriminated against because of their support for unionization.
