LVCVA Expects Air Traffic To McCarran To Increase

Air travel to Las Vegas is expected to increase next year, according to marketing officials.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority was given a report from aviation consultants projecting air traffic to McCarran International Airport in 2016.

The report anticipates an increase in domestic travel of 7.8 percent by the second quarter of 2016.

International traffic, meanwhile, is also supposed to increase … it's projected to climb by 4.2 percent by that time as well.

The Review-Journal also reports airport officials are meeting with various airlines to try and add more flights to McCarran from Asia.
