The Guide

Julia Gonzalez Hall is a Los Angeles-born artist whose work is inspired by her Guatemalan and Mexican heritage. A multidisciplinary artist, Hall works across oils, acrylics, watercolors, charcoal, sculpture, painting, and photography. Her artwork has been exhibited through public art installations and galleries throughout Las Vegas and has been featured in LA Voyage Magazine.

She says: "Elysian Dimensions provides a rich investigation into spatial ambiguity and emotional resonance through the dance of color and form. It examines the delicate balance between chaos and order that defines much of abstract art. The Village at Rancharrah, fondly known as “Reno’s backyard,”  is excited to welcome the community back for its popular Village Summer Concert Series presented by Dolan Auto Group, now entering its fourth year. This cherished weekly event brings together hundreds of locals to enjoy warm evenings filled with live music, connection, and celebration in one of Reno-Tahoe’s most vibrant outdoor destinations.

This free weekly event has become a beloved summer tradition in Reno, regularly drawing hundreds of attendees to the Village at Rancharrah. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and settle in for an evening of live music in a relaxed outdoor setting.  The concert series offers a mix of local and regional performances across diverse musical styles. Outside food and alcohol are not permitted.

The Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout September, exploring the intersection of culture, science, and innovation through special programming honoring Hispanic and Latino heritage. This year’s celebration launches Woven Throughout History – a new series exploring cultural values, beliefs, and stories expressed through textiles.

Programming includes an artist residency by Aleida Castro focused on the science of textile-making, cultural storytelling connecting tradition to innovation, and a spotlight on Hispanic contributions to science and technology.
