The most Tony Award-winning Show of the year. The most Tony Award-nominated Play of all time. STEREOPHONIC mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. Here, an up-and-coming rock band recording a new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom. The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup — or their breakthrough.
Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, STEREOPHONIC invites the audience to immerse themselves — with fly-on-the-wall intimacy — in the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.
From the creators of ABANDON, Urban Death Vegas marks the 20th anniversary of the original Urban Death, a long-running cult classic created by Zombie Joe and Jana Wimer at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre in Los Angeles. An ensemble cast takes the audience on a provocative, yet wordless, theatrical journey through the lens of all that is horrifying about Las Vegas and the times we live in.

One Book, One Henderson is an annual event aiming to get everyone talking about the same book. Books are available at libraries and online. This year’s selection, The Fox Wife, is by Yangsze Choo. It begins in 1908 Manchuria and explores a world of mortals and spirits, humans and beasts, and their dazzling intersections. Epic in scope and full of singular, unforgettable characters, The Fox Wife is a stunning novel about old loves and second chances, the depths of maternal love, and ancient folktales that might very well be true.
On October 1 the author will be at the Henderson Multigenerational Center (250 S. Green Valley Parkway) for a book signing. You can get a copy there.
It's free, but go to "Get Tickets" and you can find out more, hear music related to the book's setting, see art inspired by The Fox Wife, participate in a book club discussion, and find links to the ebook and audiobook.
