Goldfield

Goldfield, Nevada was the site of the last great goldrush on the western frontier. The town marks its birth from the discovery of gold in December 1902. Within a few years, Goldfield grew to become Nevada's largest city. But a few years later the boom was over and Goldfield began a long decline.

This year Goldfield celebrated its 100th birthday by trying to rekindle the goldrush sprit. Jon Christensen visited Goldfield where dreamers find themselves trying to rebuild a town full of dreams that have died.
