Chapter 4: The Students

Native students at Nevada’s two land-grant universities feel they aren’t getting the support they need. Among those working to change that are Ryan Boone, UNLV student and former president of the Native American Student Association; Abby Bennett, UNR Student and president of the Indigenous Student Organization; William Bauer, director of the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program at UNLV; and Saundra Mitrovich, a Civic Engagement Associate in the National Congress of American Indians. This episode looks at what they are doing, and what remains to be done.
