Yes, today, Tuesday, Nov. 5, is the election. Many people are praying that means an end to glossy fliers in the mail and unwanted texts on their phones.

By the way, there is a way to stop that. Just call your elections department.

But we digress. Let’s discuss something candidates try to make political but really aren’t: sports.

Las Vegas has some pretty interesting sports stories happening right now.

We’ll start with one that few people might know about because they don’t get much local press coverage. The Las Vegas Lights FC. They finished fourth in the Western Conference. And last weekend, they won a quarterfinal match against Sacramento Republic FC, their first-ever playoff win. Next week, they travel to the semi-finals in Albuquerque.

Guests: Kevin Baxter, sports reporter, Los Angeles Times; Alan Snel, owner, LV Sports Biz
