Fans watch from the stands during the second half of an NFL preseason football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Las Vegas Raiders, Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, in Minneapolis.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were in town. Senator JD Vance, former President Donald Trump's running mate, has been here. Does that really make a difference to voters, or have we made up our minds already?

Then, the Las Vegas Raiders are back in Las Vegas after training camp in California. Wonder if they’ll be any good?

And if you watched the Olympics, would you argue that stars from the Las Vegas Aces, especially A’ja Wilson, won the gold for Team USA?

Meanwhile, the wispy clouds you’ve seen over Mt. Charleston aren’t clouds at all, it’s smoke from wildfires. And they aren’t just in California, they’re also in the Reno area.

Are you slowing down in school zones? Because police are out in full force as school just started in Clark County this week.

All of that is to say: It’s our open mic show, where your thoughts, ideas, complaints, concerns — even what you’re happy about — lead the show.
