Teslas queue up in the Boring Co. tunnel beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company has proposed an underground loop tunnel system serving the tourist corridor.

If you look at the drawing board, the future might be here for transportation in Southern Nevada. Consider:

  • Elon Musk’s Boring Co. just got the county OK to expand its “Teslas in Tunnels” loop system from the Las Vegas Convention Center through the tourist corridor.
  • Bus rapid transit is moving ahead on Maryland Parkway
  • And a high-speed train line linking Las Vegas with Southern California remains in development

A panel of transportation experts discuss all that — plus those traffic jams on Interstate 15 and how to rebuild a transit system after a pandemic.
