Anyone who’s driven on I-15 in the downtown Las Vegas area knows how stressful and potentially dangerous traffic can be there.
The I-15 corridor between the Spaghetti Bowl and Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas averages four accidents each day, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation website.
NDOT’s solution? Project Neon.
Project Neon is a 20-year expansion plan that aims to reduce traffic and accidents by adding high-occupancy vehicle lanes and redirecting downtown-bound vehicles.
NDOT had a public information meeting about the latest developments on the project Wednesday.
