It was 50 years ago this month that Las Vegas hosted two concerts featuring an up-and-coming quartet from across the pond. The concerts were notablefor, among other things, the lack of any audible music. Instead of hearing the Beatles play hits like ‘Twist and Shout’ concert goers could only hear the screams of giddy teenagers.
And the Beatles' visit to Las Vegas was off-kilter from the start, beginning with their unexpectedly late 1:30 a.m. arrival from San Francisco. We discuss what it was like to be in the audience for that concert and hear what kind of shenanigans the mop tops were up to at the Sahara.
