Some high school football teams are already preparing for the upcoming season. Soon the stadium stands will be filled with cheering students and rabidly supportive parents.
Best case scenario is that the home team scores a win. Worst case scenario is not a loss, but the possibility of an athlete getting seriously injured. High on the list of concerns is that a student will suffer a concussion.
The NCAA recently tightened their rules on identifying and treating concussions following a lawsuit.
