Last year, the publishers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal had a tentative agreement to end the joint operating agreement that has required the RJ to carry the six-to-10-page insert, the Las Vegas Sun. Three of the four siblings that owned the Sun wanted to sell and close the paper. But not Brian Greenspun.
Now the family has re-shuffled its assets and each now owns a piece of the family empire outright. Brian Greenspun got the publishing arm and is promising to continue publishing the print version of the Sun as well as maintain the website and the company's other publications. So what does the new agreement mean? And will Las Vegas continue to be a two-newspaper town?
