Former Las Vegas Metro Sheriff Offers Emotional Response To Officer Slayings

On Sunday two assailants gunned down two Metro officers at an eastside pizza restaurant. The motive was apparently political – the police were targeted because they were wearing the uniform, and not because they had any connection to the perpetrators.

Former Sheriff Bill Young had to lead the department when officers died on duty but nothing quite like this.
