FAA Rules On Drones

Fellow drone hobbyists call him "Trappy." They marvel at his Statue of Liberty videos taken with a five-pound foam aircraft.

 

But U.S. authorities call Raphael Pirker reckless. They even fined him thousands of dollars for using his Styrofoam drone to film a University of Virginia advertisement.

 

A fine recently dismissed by a federal court judge.

 

Fortunately, Pirker doesn’t hold grudges. He even has some advice for how governments should regulate drones.
