The Awkward Art Of Jennifer Wynn Reeves

Her art has been described as combining abstraction and representation with a graceful awkwardness deliberately echoing the discomfort of first-time encounters. Does that mean Jennifer Wynne Reeves deliberately tries to make them look like a beginner’s painting? Some of her art also involves abstract monologues that only compound the mystery. She was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship last year.

And her work is currently on display at the Donna Beam Gallery of Fine Art at UNLV.
