City Council Tries To Clean Up Downtown

The Las Vegas City Council is trying to take action on two issues bedeviling downtown: abandoned buildings and too many liquor stores. City Councilman Bob Coffin thinks some abandoned buildings have become public safety hazards. So what can the council do about the problem? He also voted in favor of a moratorium on liquor stores near the Fremont Entertainment District. Will that help curb weekend rowdiness in the popular nightlife destination?
