Rev. Douglas Kanai had an MBA and an office job when he realized he needed to make a drastic career change. He left his position in a casino and undertook a 700-year-old Buddhist ritual called the 100 days. For more than three months, he chanted and prayed, subsisting on rice gruel and less than three hours sleep. He joins us to talk about how he survived and what he learned in the process.
