UNLV’s premier big band is receiving rave reviews for its newest CD, “Smilin’ Eyes.” The UNLV Jazz Ensemble I received their third consecutive outstanding review from the international jazz publication, “Jazz Times.” Reviewer Ken Franckling says the CD “demonstrated the strong consistency of this band from one academic year to the next.”
