President Obama has called on the nation's students to take responsibility for their own education. But how hard is that in a large school district like Clark County? Can students excel without the resources and language skills they need to succeed? Local education experts explain what is needed to succeed and John L. Smith of the Review-Journal gives us his observations about the students who listened at a Las Vegas elementary school.
