The Las Vegas Philharmonic opened its January 2017 concert with Michael Torke’s Ash. A Las Vegas resident and world-renowned composer, Torke has a reputation for "some of the most optimistic, joyful and thoroughly uplifting music to appear in recent years" (Gramophone). Other works featured in the program included Mozart’s brilliant Piano Concerto No. 23 featuring acclaimed Decca Classics recording Artist, Maria Radutu and Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony No. 6.
