Test Site Worker Compensation

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says Nevada's cold war veterans have been treated unfairly by the U.S. government. He says many workers at the Nevada Test Site were exposed to dangerous levels of radiation, but have not been compensated. Reid has introduced legislation to correct this.

Reid says other legislation has focused on downwinders - those affected by above ground nuclear testing. But, Reid's measure would specifically help those who worked test sites in Nevada from 1950 to 1993. Congressional correspondent Benjamin Shaw spoke with Senator Reid about his bill.
