Conrad Black, Others Found Guilty of Fraud

A federal jury in Chicago convicted the former Hollinger International CEO Conrad Black on multiple counts of criminal fraud and obstruction of justice. The jury delivered a mixed verdict for the government — it found Black not guilty of wire fraud and racketeering and other charges.

Black and three former Hollinger executives were charged with stealing more than $60 million from the media company's shareholders. The trial lasted 15 weeks and, thanks to Black's notoriety in both Canada and the UK, drew international attention. Chicago Public Radio's Diantha Parker reports.
