Las Vegas And UNLV Partner To Find Lead In Older Homes

Dec 11, 2018

The City of Las Vegas is partnering with the University of Nevada Las Vegas to assess lead hazards in older homes.

City officials and the Health Sciences department will then remediate the hazards to improve health and safety for low-income residents with small children.

Baltimore Struggles To Protect Children From Lead Paint

Despite the attention to lead in water, the biggest health risk to children is still from lead paint. The city of Baltimore banned lead paint way back in 1950, but children continue to be poisoned.
