Las Vegas And UNLV Partner To Find Lead In Older Homes

The City of Las Vegas is partnering with the University of Nevada Las Vegas to assess lead hazards in older homes.

City officials and the Health Sciences department will then remediate the hazards to improve health and safety for low-income residents with small children.

The city obtained a $1.6 million grant from the federal Housing and Urban Development office to fund the assessments and remediation for three years.
