Former State Senator, Bob Coffin and candidate Adriana Martinez are in a heated race to be the next representative for Ward 3 on the Las Vegas City Council. Bob Coffin says his experience as a member of the Nevada Legislature gives him a good understanding of how to protect taxpayer money. Martinez says if elected she would make community safety and economic development a point of focus.
There has been some controversy in the race. Coffin says Martinez doesn't live in Ward 3 and thus is ineligible to run for the seat. Martinez denies the claim. We'll talk with both candidates about their view on city issues looking ahead to the June election.
