A judge has ordered the Clark County School District to release bodycam footage from a police altercation involving students at a local high school earlier this year.

In February, video circulating social media showed a CCSD police officer pushing a Black student to the ground and putting a knee on his back near Durango High School.

According to the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada, the juvenile had been filming the arrest of other students when he was confronted by the officer.

The ACLU of Nevada sued the school district, after they were denied record requests for video, pictures, witness statements and more information.

The school district argued the records were confidential and juvenile justice information, but a court ruled they are public records.

CCSD Police has 30 days to release the video, along with citation information and incident reports.
