Las Vegas police said two adults and two children were killed in a northwest valley murder-suicide on Monday morning.
About 10 a.m., police were called to an apartment on Oso Blanca Road, near U.S. 95 and Durango Drive. The man who called 911 said he went to the apartment to check on his brother and found several people shot.
Police arrived and found two adults and two children under 14 dead. Another child was taken to University Medical Center "clinging to life."
Detectives determined the shooting to be a murder-suicide. It wasn't immediately known if the group was a family.
"It's the holiday season, people get depressed … there are people out there who are willing to help you. There's hotlines, there's friends, there's family, it does not have to end like this," police said on the scene.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
